Way of the Cross - Way of Martyrs 2013

 

Eight stele out of granite and steel were created for Germany's oldest way of the cross in the city of Lübeck. The project of the Protestant and Catholic churches, the city of Lübeck and the Possehl Foundation was launched for the revival of the way of the cross, which leads over 1,600 meters from St. Jacob to the 'Jerusalem Mountain'. The project was realised by the artists Karin van Ommeren (Netherlands), Frede Troelsen (Denmark), Winni Schaak (Germany) and Jo Kley who curated the venture.
